End of the month....

BAH!! really i had month end at work...i have to count all the inventory of everything we have...yes i have to do this EVERY MONTH!! ugh...which means...halloween, new years, etc...

Oh well in these tough times i shouldn't complain..i have a job!! :)

Anyway enough complaining onto my card!! I made this card for Bella Colour Challenge #66 and SFYTT. The colours we had to use were garden green cameo coral, real rust and bordering blue...i thought it would be harder than it was, not sure why i put it off for so long! LOL The dsp is retired paper (can't think of the name) and the bordering blue is the level one hostess pack of paper. I coloured my bella with copics and accented with some rust buttons! My bella sistah gave me this image!! Its cute!!

Well don't forget to check my other blog tomorrow for our first challenge! You are going to love the samples i have gotten!!! :)

Other big news!! My brother won $10,000 on roll up the rim at Tim Horton's!! whoo hooo!!!

I love monkeys...

i think this little guy is chantigo or something like that, i got him through wish rak though:) Ummmmmm...what to say about this card....like fluffles i had him coloured forever ago...the paper i used is chocolate chip and green galore. The dsp is ctmh and the part of the flower i coloured green was really yellow (but it didn't match my image!). I used the latest SFYTT. I had to adjust the sketch a bit because my image was too long!! But it worked. I coloured him with my copics and cut him out with my nestibilites!!

Just goofing around....

i have had this little guy coloured

for about a month or so...and thought i should make a card with him, so here he is...ummmm i am not sure why i had such a hard time with this card but i did! I think he is a fluffles but i am not sure...got him through a swap:)

I used TECC56 for this card...the dsp is CTMH and didn't really match anything i had...so i made due. The ribbon i just got today from MFT and the bling is from martha stewart (i think).

Colour inspiration #42!!!

I am so excited i finally got to do a colour inspiration challenge!!! Since i have some more mustard gate fold bases done it was easy (i was going to do a gatefold card at my last SU party, then changed my mind!). I also have 2 Rileys coloured so it was put together in no time:) For my cardstock i used Real Rust and more mustard. The kiwi kiss is ROckabilly specialty DSP from SU, i love this paper!! The bling is from Martha Stewart and Riley is coloured with Copics:)

FOr this next card i just switched the dsp to ctmh paper. I

thought it went well with Riley:) I think i coloured him a bit too dark though.

Oh well:)

Belleriffic Friday card:)

So this week this is our inspiration for Belleriffic friday cards!! Well as soon as i saw this i tought of the SAB Dsp Delicate Dots from SU! And guess what?? I still have some cut from my last worksop!! I also used Mojo75 for my card!
I got this huggabugg image from my bella sistah! Sooooooo cute!! I coloured with copics and then used stickles on the wings. I cut her out with my nesties and coloured around the edge because the next size up was too big. I saw this on someones blog...can't remember who sorry!

Thats about it:) Hope you like it, i am sure i will send it to one of the raining card girls next month ;)

Whiff of Joy guest designer call....

I made this card for the Whiff of Joy blog to be a guest designer. I had fun with this sketch!! These are the newest WOJ stamps from the spring set! I used Baja breeze, old olive, gina k white and certainly celery card stock. The dsp is Green Tea SU paper. I coloured Willow with my copics. The sentiment is from Best Yet (SU hostess set). I used my SU flower punch since i didn't have an primas that matched. I cut out the image with nestibilites and then cut out willow and put her on the tree stump...it was hard to cut, there are lots of little things to cut around! yikes! The card is also 5 X 5.

For The Greeting Farm challenge....

i made this card. I printed Anya too small so i decided to use a square card. This is also the supplies for one of my card kit swaps i am in, hope they like the image and paper!

I used So saffron, regal rose and pretty in pink on this card. I think Anyas hair is a bit bright, but its cute:) I used my cuttlebug swirl folder for the background and georgia peach paper as well (which i can gladly say i am almost out of...really i have never run out of SU dsp!!)

I finished her off with some prima flowers and a new SU brad in the middle. Oh and some so saffron ribbon!!

I have also decided i am going to Las Vegas for my birthday in may!! I am soooooooo excited!!! Maybe some of you will join me ;) wishful thinking i know! lol

Oh...and i went through my playlist, i was annoyed that some of the videos were gone...so i fixed it all up:)

I made this card for a monthly bella card kit swap i am in. I was supplied with the image and dsp. I wanted to go for simple...look no embelishments!! WOW eh??? I will put a sentiment on it when i am ready to give it away. I do this with a lot of swap cards, then i always have a card ready on the fly, just add a sentiment and its done:)

I had to colour with my SU markers because the copics don't work too well on this kind of paper, but SU markers worked great! I did use copics for the skin though.

All you need is love....

so...i made this card for BSC67 and BCC67..

The colours for the colour challenge came from a picture Hope showed us, browns, pinks and reds. I used Riding hood red and close to cocoa SU paper. The DSP is a piece from candy lane, and 2 pieces from bittersweet basic grey paper. I did some paper piecing as well for the dress and the balloons (if Dana can do it i can do it)..i guess it wasn't so bad. Its easy to cut out bigger things:) I used stickles for her bows and the strings on the balloons. I also paper pieced the 2 hearts from the balloons and made my own embelishments. The bling is from martha stewart i think.

I think this will make a nice birthday card for someone:)

I am still looking for a few designers for my challenge blog for week 1 (or if you wanna do it every week let me know!!or just a few times...or whenever!)...

Bah...isn't Anya adorable??? As soon as my Rockabilly paper came in i knew i had to ink her up!! I LOVE this paper!! I may stock up on it!!

So i started with Taylors Cupcake challenge #55. It was tough but i did it!! I used Gina K paper for the base, followed by riding hood red, then brushed silver and the dsp. I cut out anya with nestibilites and coloured her with copics, spica glitter pens and a silver marker.

I added some CTMH sparkles (because every rockstar needs bling!) and put some dots around the circle.

Mojo74, Bellariffic Friday....

so here is my card for MojoMonday74 and Bellariffic friday!! Aren't the huggabuggs adorable?????? So ok onto the card. The colours i had to use were red and purple...so i choose riding hood red and elegant eggplant. I used Candy Lane Dsp and Eva Basic Grey paper. I coloured the bugg with copics and stickles for the wings and antennas. I used Bella baubles and SU ribbon:) Hope you like her!!

Also my friend Kelly is giving away blog candy, just guess the beans!!

Snowy days....

...are ahead i am sure!! Its been to nice and sunny lately, i am sure we are in for some snow! I am so behind on bella challenges i had to get something done! So here it is!! Ummmmmmmm well it looked ok in my head...lol I wish i could draw, i was thinking of a ski lift where the ribbon is and people skiing down the hills...but well i can't draw AT ALL! lol (thank god for stamps i say!!). I used some stickles (i think its called white lace) to make it look like snow.

I have some more card kits to do as well and i have the first sketch for the challenge blog ready!! I have 3 people i am going to email it too..still looking for 2 more!!!

A year of Riley's swap:)

I am playing catch up on the swaps i joined!! (i am behind, i am never behind!!)Anyway this is for a swap called Year of Rileys! So i will have a Riley for every month. Mine is suppose to be birthday but with the colours i choose it kinda looks like Valentines day! Oops!! I used Cake Riley on Vanilla SU paper. I tried to colour him with SU markers but that didn't turn out so well so i coloured him with Copics:) I used my Spica Red glitter pen for the icing on the cake. The DSP is Candy lane from SU.

Catching up on card kits!!

Ok...i am caught up on the card kits that were sitting on my desk!! Chrissy always has cool paper!! I use Mojo72 sketch challenge for this (because it has been sitting on my desk for a week too!). Chrissy gave us DSP and the image. I had to use my new cuttlebug folder and SU punch (the scallop eyelet one!!). I also used all the rest of the clear flowers from MFT (maybe time to order more??).

Coffee Time with Elzybells!!

Well as you are aware i hate Valentines day...but i hope everyone has a good one:) Its a long weekend here in Canada (family day...i know weird!!) so i will be working and i am sure we are going to be BUSY!!

Here is my card for today...i got this lovely stamp from my friend Anne (HI ANNE!!) in the UK, we did a little swap! This card is my kit for that monthly card kit swap i keep talking about:) I am sending them the dsp (its a neat pack of paper from the netherlands!! All the paper is yellow but there are different design! My 6 pages were lemons and roses), and the ribbon. I did a match on that SU colour match thing, and i decided to use these colours Close to Cocoa, cameo coral and pumpkin pie. I also used TECC54 (because i have so many sketch challenges on my desk i need to use!!) because i thought it would fit perfect! I used my nesties to cut out the girls and finished it off with a prima flower and a SU brad in the middle. Oh and for the base i used Gina K 20lb pure luxury cardstock because it is the bestest!!

I am going to be starting a new blog soon!! Its a Challenge blog, i will need some guests and helpers!! I may have a contest or something...stay tuned...:)

Oh...i have a new favorite....

Isn't this bunny darling???????? Its a set from

the Greeting Farm (formerly Pink Poison). I used Mojo73 for this one. The colours are chocolate chip and pink pirouette. The paper is Berry Bliss and Basic Grey (not sure which line, i got it through wish rak). The ribbon is Chocolate chip and pink from SU. I cut the image out with my nestibilites and used 2 bella baubles for the corner!!

OH MY....

...How i love these Anya stamps!! This is a digital download stamp and i LOVE her!! Its Geisha Anya. The only problem i had was my copics ran a bit with the black printer ink...not sure what to do about this:( Anyway...this card is for the High Hopes Design team call. We had to use this sketch and send it in. This is one of the first cards in a LONG time i can say i LOVE!! The dsp is from a pack called Far East by DCWV and i got it at Winners!! (weird eh??) I love Asian stuff so i knew i would love this paper. I wrote the word Arigato (which means thanks you in japanese) since i didn't have a stamp:( I punched it out with the word window punch and layered it on a big oval.
I am also using this card for an asian swap i am in but i am making extra because i want to give one to my friend Hiediko:)

Wed SBS challenge...

Well ladies since i got my scor pal i have been making gate fold cards!!! How cool??? The fold is perfect!! So your challenge is to make a card with a different kind of fold! Its really easy if you have a scor pal!! So onto my card...this is another card kit (i am trying to get them done before i get more!! I get about 4 every month!!). So for this we were supplied with the DSP, wagon image, hemp twine and the punch out. Here is what i came up with. I should have put another peice of cardstock under the dsp its a little flimsy. Oh well! I made it work:)

Lindas Party...

These are the pages i showed at Linda's SU party and the card we made. Everything is from SAB. I did the pages to show at my Nanny's funeral.

For the card i used the watercolour technique where you colour right on the stamp. They loved it! I was a bit worried.

It was a great party and the ladies were amazing! Helped me meet my mins for the 1/4 and then some:)

Happy Birthday Amanda:)

Today is my niece Amanda's 19th Birthday!! WOW can you believe it?? Well maybe you can but i can't!! This is the brat (i call all my nieces and nephew brats! lol) i babysat every weekend!! (yes i had no life for years because of her!! lol). My how time flies!Here is a picture of us in Toronto when i took her with me so i could meet some guy from online! LOL Nice Aunt eh??

We celebrated her birthday on Friday since we are going to be at the funeral home all weekend:(

Ok onto the card!! I made this card for a MFT sketch!! When i made this i should have been in bed, but i had to stay up to make this...next time i

will just go to bed! ha ha I thought i would switch

up my colours a bit! I used Basic Grey paper

(i got through wish rak) and this image came from wish rak as well. I attempted to make a bow...ha ha I think i will read the instructions better next time!!

Time to switch it up!!

So...i figure you were sick of magnolias! lol Here is a card for the Pink Poison (greeting farm) swap i am in. I got the image through wish rak and its darling!! I also have dorothy and toto!! woo hoo!! I also got the basic grey paper through wish rak as well! The colours are so bright and cheery! I also used MFTSC65 for this (its been sitting on my desk for a while!!). I promised myself i would finish the challenges on my desk before i start new ones!! :)

Another Magnolia card:)

I had some coloured so i thought i should use them! I used SC213 on SCS, i had to alter it a tad to fit Tilda on here. The DSP came from my friend Hazel in Scotland for Christmas! its sooooo pretty, its a HUGE pack of 6X6 paper!! The coloured are brocade blue and close to cocoa. I coloured Tilda with copics. I am in love with these big ass prima flowers!! I got them through Wish Rak!! I have used almost all of them!! I was orginally going to put Tilda on a fence, then changed my mind last minute.

Sorry again for another sad post....

but today i got a phone call on my way to work that my Nany Sorley (grandma) passed away today...really it doesn't rain it pours!!! My Nany was 94 years old (would have been 95 this year), and she was my moms mom. She was a wonderful lady!! We always had so much fun together!! We would bake, knit, cook...she would play with my Jem dolls with me, we would go down the street to this head shop called pop tones and she would buy me GNR tshirts and records. She even went in there one day by herself and bought me Christmas presents!! She bought me my first real cabbage patch kid (her name was penelope), and i used to go to work with her in the summer and she would pay me by buying me this gorgeous dolls (the kind you wind up and they play music!). Now i am granparent-less, she was my last, but they all lived to be over 90!!

At least now she can be with my mom and my grandpa. This is the last picture i have of her, it was from Thanksgiving, i am so glad i brought my camera and we got some pictures!!

Thanks for listening to my ramblings....i got a HUGE package from my SBS sister Debby... i will post a picture tomorrow...thanks Debby i heart you!!!

happy Birthday Magnolia style:)

Do you ever make a card and are sooooo excited to show it?? This is it:) The dsp is CTMH, i got it in a secret Christmas exchange, it was a bunch of 6X6 pages of CTMH, so cool to try it out! I love this paper and should really buy some from the catalogue! The colours are great! I made this card for the birthday club on the magnolia yahoo group. I am trying to get caught up on my magnolia cards for that group since they take a little longer to make. I used a bella flatback for the center of the flower, i love them!!

A sad day with very happy mail:)

We got the call this morning that adrian has passed away:( She was 35 years old with a 13 year old son. I am so glad we got to see her on Sunday at the hospital to say our last goodbyes.

Ok onto my happy mail for the day...I got 6 cards from the monthly card swaps i am in, 1 raining tilda card with lots of images and then this package!! HOLY CRAP!! I got this from my secret valentine on the magnolia board!! Amy Leggate sent this stuff to me!! The calendar is soooooo cool, and look at the cards!! And the candy holder and the book and the STICKERS!! YUMMY!! i love it all!! thanks so much for everything, it couldn't have come at a better time:)

Magnolia Colour Challenge:)

This is my card for the magnolia colour challenge on the Magnolia yahoo board. I am doing colour challenges once a month. The colours are rose red, old olive, so saffron, and regal rose.

I used the sketch and stash challenge #2 for this. I used a flower cuttle bug folder and inked it. The paper is oragami paper, its really pretty. I used bella baubles. I had to put a flower in her hair because the dog hit my arm while i was colouring! lol But i think it looks cute:)

Sketch and Stash challenge...

and a SBS challenge (a day early!!). So i found this blog called sketch and stash challenge. So far i have loved the sketches, and it helps me use some of my stash!! My challenge for SBS is to use 2 pinks and one orange on your card:) You can use a bit of brown if you would like. The colours i used were...regal rose, pink pirouette (or pretty in pink) and apricot appeal! Sounds strange but it works:)

I am doing challenges on the magnolia yahoo group starting tomorrow! Come play if you want:)

Bowling tonight...its so sad without my partner in crime Jeanie:( But we understand that her daughter is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more important than bowling!! Please keep her family in your prayers...it will be anyday now:( We went to the hospital to see them and its so sad...it really brings back memories when i had to do that with my mom, i don't pray, but i took all the prayers i could!!

Mega Meeting stuff:)

So stupid me forgot to bring my camera to the mega meeting! DUH! Well here is all the swap cards and stuff i got!! Our stamp set was "3 little words" and its a cute set! For $16.95 how can you go wrong?? The swap cards were amazing!! There isn't one i didn't like!! The bag is adorable!! Laura made them for us, and all our name badges had punched out animal! (i was a lion, but left mine in the car!!). I learned some new techniques and had a great time! It sucks i had to leave before the make and takes but my friend is going to send them my way!! If you see a card that looks cool and you wanna closer pic just let me know:)

I am plowing along with Taylors sketch challenges! I had these done for a while, but i only like to post one a day. This card did not turn out the way i wanted it to and i had a hard time with this sketch for some reason. Oh well...its done!! lol I love this MFT image...maybe i should buy the stamp. I think i got this image through wish rak.
