Well as you are aware i hate Valentines day...but i hope everyone has a good one:) Its a long weekend here in Canada (family day...i know weird!!) so i will be working and i am sure we are going to be BUSY!!
Here is my card for today...i got this lovely stamp from my friend Anne (HI ANNE!!) in the UK, we did a little swap! This card is my kit for that monthly card kit swap i keep talking about:) I am sending them the dsp (its a neat pack of paper from the netherlands!! All the paper is yellow but there are different design! My 6 pages were lemons and roses), and the ribbon. I did a match on that SU colour match thing, and i decided to use these colours Close to Cocoa, cameo coral and pumpkin pie. I also used TECC54 (because i have so many sketch challenges on my desk i need to use!!) because i thought it would fit perfect! I used my nesties to cut out the girls and finished it off with a prima flower and a SU brad in the middle. Oh and for the base i used Gina K 20lb pure luxury cardstock because it is the bestest!!
I am going to be starting a new blog soon!! Its a Challenge blog, i will need some guests and helpers!! I may have a contest or something...stay tuned...:)
Let me know how your Heart day was:)
HUGS!
Love your Elzybelles, it looks great!
ReplyDeleteThe SU colour combo was new to me, what a cool toy to play with, I've bookmarked it.
Hope you enjoyed Valentine's Day, G bought me some very nice flowers yesterday: daffodils, tulips, scented narcissi, just what you SHOULD have in February, not hot-house roses!.
If you want some help with your chalenge blog, please shout, I'd love to help. You've been doing really well for our SBS sisters, you should find it really easy :)
Hey Janet,Thanks for the great comment on my exciting news! I just can't wait, then I'll be like a brand new woman, lol!
ReplyDeleteWell our Valentine Day started last night,I had bought all kinds of paper foiled choc, like Hershey kisses and heart shaped ones and some .... you get the pic. I bought a box with hearts on it,and had put these chocolates all over the apartment and told my hubby he had to find 81 chocolates and then he would get a lovely V surprise.
Well it was so funny to see him count them and find them,I never laughed so much in my life... he did find them pretty quick,so next time I'll have to hide them better than that. We've been together for 10 years now,and to do something like this adds so much spark in a relationship. I think every couple should do something special. It doesn't have to cost alot of money.
Oh and the surprise...I'll let your imagination run wild, lol!!!
Happy Valentine Day to you !!!
Love me some Elzys!! I just stamped this same image for a coffee swap and the funny thing is I had a blonde/brunette but reversed them from what you did - LOL! GMTA :) This is SPLENDID, Janet! Love everything about it - soft, subtle, lovely! Just like you! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card Janet.
ReplyDeleteValentine's day was a non-event in our house - as usual. We did attend a friends' wedding which was lovely.
