Mega Meeting day...

Today is our Mega Meeting in Burlington...this is my swap card. I had such a hard time making these because i made 45 of the same card!! I NEVER do that...but i didn't start until the night before so i really had no choice!! ugh...oh well here it is! hope you like it.

I used the stamp set Heard from the heart and Polka dot punches (a SAB set). For the middle of the flower i used Karen's awsome idea to use a pot dot and put it in micro beads!! Cool eh??? The DSP is candy cane lane and i used a SU texture plate...i must say i like the cuttlebug folders much better!!

My downline Chris has blog candy, check it out!! Also Kelly have some blog candy as well!!

Sketch happy....

I am not sure why i am doing all these sketches, i never win anything but its fun anyway:) This is TECC52SH...Its Stephs sketch! I had fun with this on and did it pretty quick!! The image is from Chrissy (she is our monthly card kit hostess). She sent is as a challenge, and there is a prize. I am still using up old DSP...i am doing good not using any new paper until i run out (could be a few more weeks!!!)...once i run out i think i am going to go nuts and end up with more scraps than i started with!! lol I am soooo bored of the same old paper!!! The card is pretty simple...not much to say about it:) Maybe i will send it to one of my SBS!!! :)

One day at a time....

Its much easier to make cards when images are coloured as well! lol I got this elzybell through wish rak! Isn't it cute?? I used lots of bling on this card since i bought all these bling things and hardly use them!! Well i sure did use up a lot on this card!! The colours i used are so saffron, green galore, and tempting turquoise (i think, this paper is really old!! lol)

Oh i love Elzybells!!!

I got this stamp because this dog is so darn cute!! I used Taylors sketch for her 9 sketch marathon! hee hee

I used some colours i don't normally use..green galore, summer sun, regal rose and chocolate chip!

Ok the story about this picture...my brother had this BBQ when he moved to his new house...my BF brought the most disgusting hamburgs!! (i mean i wouldn't feed them to the dog!! lol) So we were all drinking on an empty stomach...i *think* those are french fries in my mouth...who knows...i remember it being cold outside so we were inside playing cards. I took some pretty strange pictures that night!!

The rules for this challenge are - Go to where you store your photos on your computer. Go to the SIXTH folder and pick the SIXTH photo. Post that photo on your blog along with a SHORT story about it. Tag SIX people and leave a comment on their blog or email them letting them know you chose them.

Thanks to my bella sistah and some sad news...

WOW!! sarah i am so thankful!! look at all the goodies she sent???? An adorable huggabugg, a stella, some glitter brads, an adorable card and BASIC GREY PAPER! I love this paper, and was going to buy some, but held off!! I LOVE it all!!

I got some sad news today...my friend Jeannie that i bowl with, and have known since i was little, her daughter is 35 and is in her last weekw with us. Adrian had cancer for the last 6 years and they thought they got it all, but when it came back late last year it was worse than the first time. I used to play with Adrian and my cousin Stacy when i was a kid (and poor them had to babysit me!!). They would torment me with Motley Crue's "Shout at the Devil", and when we played dress us i was always the baby!! LOL I guess its thanks to them and their love for metal that i became addicted years later!! :) Its going to be a sad night at bowling tonight without my buddie Jeannie:( (we always make a joke how we SUCK together! lol)...Please say some prayers for the family, it must be devistating to lose a child, a sister, an aunt and a friend!!

More cupcake challenges!!!

So this is card #3 for the cupcake challenge!! (i really should be making swap cards for the mega meeting on saturday! lol)

So this is challenge TECC52JS. I love this sketch and it was fun to play with. I used Bella Rose DSP (because i am using scraps only until they are gone!!) I wish i knew what stamp this is...i got it from someone (gee i am helpful eh??), well anyway its cute!! I am kinda addicted to this felt fusion flowers too...ok i promise the next card will be completly different! ha ha

Ok this is card #2 for the cupcake challenge!! This sketch was great to play with!! The colours i used are Old Olive, so saffron, Regal rose and rose red. I think they look great together! I have 3 more magnolias coloured with the same colours so you will see more of this colour combo in days ahead:)

Ok this card is for Taylored Expressions: Celebrating a Year of Cupcake Challenges! It was also for a card kit swap, but i changed the paper for my card (the paper i got didn't go with anything i had:( boo urns). Well anyway...thats all i really have to say about this card....lets hope the next one is better for you guys to see!!!

I went out for dinner with Devon tonight, we went to Falls Manor and had hot roast beef sandwiches (although i shouldn't have... my tummy hurts now as i have a wheat allergy), and coconut cream pie for dessert! YUM...but i am hurtin now, why do i do this to myself!! lol

I was going to come home and stamp...

but it was toooooooooo busy at work today! I am beat! There is an ice wine festival going on in Niagara on the Lake (where i work), so of course everyone craves McDonalds when they are drinking! ha ha Oh well we need the business so i shouldn't complain too much! This is a card i made for the Bella Bash Challenge and for a music swap. I am giving this card to my BFF Devon for Valentines day, just to cheer her up, she is stressed with school and could use a happy card. She is like me and hates Valentines day!! This is a pic of us at the Niagara Ice Dogs game:)

This rockabella card was made for a few reasons. #1...its for a music swap i am in that we had to use lyrix on the front of the card that are true to us...well i couldn't think of anything more true to me:) #2..i used CC202 on SCS..bravo burgandy, kiwi kiss, regal rose..ummmm well it works i guess #3..It is a card for Bellas Favourite stamper on the bella forums. We have to case Jane, here is the card i choose. Jane has an amazing gallery so go check it out:) #4...for the bella bash challenge we had to pick a love song and make a card...well this may not be a love song to everyone, but sure holds special meaning to me:)

Pretty simple card...usually when i do swap cards they are pretty simple since i have to make 6!

oh...how i hate valentines day....

really i do...even when i was with someone i loved a lot, i hated this holiday! I am a believer that if you love someone you don't need a holiday to let them know, you should let them know everyday! I usually work on this holiday so i don't have to deal with it! lol Anyway...this is a card i made for a card kit swap...i really don't like it, but maybe it will do something for someone else. Maybe its because i hate the holiday that it turned out so crap...maybe its because i am tired??? lol

Nurse Nellie!!

Awwwwwwww isn't she sweet?? I was asked to make a birthday card for a nurse. This is all i have to do with nurses so i hope the lady likes it! I used CTMH dsp, i find it so hard to match with SU cardstock so i did the best i could!

I used my nesties to cut nurse nellie and the sentiment out. I am really trying to use my scraps! i organized them today, it helped a bit!! :)

Oh the poker champion:)

Sooooooooooooooooo...yesterday our boss had a meeting at his house, the usual boring stuff. Then we had a chef make us all dinner!! Oh i should have taken pictures!! We had carrot soup with walnuts in it, crab cakes, salad, beef tenderloin with purple potatoes (weird, but soooooo good), and for dessert we had a pear thing, a crepe thing and some chocolate ball thing (can you tell i know nothing about food!! ha ha). And we had a different wine for each course...well i don't drink often so you can image i was a little tipsy by the end!! So my bosses wife wouldn't let us play poker at his house, since its a school night and we play until 4am or so. So my wonderful boss drove us all to the Embassy Suites in Niagara Falls, we had an amazing room looking over the falls!! I don't think anyone really cared, they all just wanted to drink! So we started playing poker and drinking some more. I was having amazing luck (which i never have with poker)...i took out 3 people in a row (with 3 full houses!! yikes). By the end of the night this guy Rob and i were the last ones in and we just split the pot (although i had way more chips than he did so really i won!!). It was a great night, and makes me very thankful that i have a great boss who takes care of us all!!!
Well i have to go to the funeral home now and then off to bowling! So no card today, maybe after bowling if i am not too tired (didn't get much sleep!!).

Snowy card...

I made this card for the Bella colour challenge. The colours are brocade blue, ballet blue and lovely lilac! I also used SC211. Not sure i like it...oh well i am sure someone will!!! :) I forgot the stickles so i added them after i took the picture!!

Tonight i am going to my bosses house for dinner, he has a chef come in and cater it!! yummy!!

Catching up on the Bella Challenges!!

So i made this card yesterday but thought i would save the post so you would have something to read today! I used BSC63 and BCC62 for this one. I had a hard time with the colours since i never use orange or yellow that often! The colours are only orange, tempting turquoise, yo yo yellow and chocolate chip. I used my copics to colour the

image that i got from my bella sistah Sarah! I have never used this image and it was fun! I used some of my new prima flowers i bought with my Michaels GC i got for Christmas and used a bella dot for the center.

Well i am going to a hockey game today, its the old hockey players from the Buffalo Sabres, not sure who they are playing though!

my mojo that is...well i made a card...i feel like its missing something though! Oh well you decide!

I made this card for a swap i am in. I had to make a birthday card with a magnolia stamp and ribbon. The colours are brocade blue, summer sun and chocolate chip. You can't tell but i sanded the cuttlebug background to lighten it a bit. I cut out edwin and have him sitting on the ribbon. i think it needs something...oh well i am going to package it up and send it off so does it really matter?? lol

So far today i have cleaned my room, fixed my bed, have done some laundry and cleaned my stamp space. Lets see what else i can get accomplished today:) I am going out with my friend Hideko for dinner, so not sure if i will have time, we will see though.

I got some sad news today that my friend Crystal's Grandma passed away:( She was a funny lady. Its sad that Crystal is in AB though and can't come home for the funeral. I will go though (the family are my ex-inlaws but i love them to pieces!) Crystal's mom is like a mom to me. (too bad her son had to be a jerk off! lol)

Ok enough babble for one day, i have to finish these cards!!!

blah day....

well i was hoping to have a card made today...but i really have no ambition to do anything!! ugh...i have images coloured and ready to go, i just don't wanna make cards. So i tried playing some video games...that didn't work...maybe i am just really tired, maybe its the extreme cold weather...who knows! I better get out of this slump...i have to make cards for a SU party i am doing in a couple weeks and swap cards for our mega meeting....somebody help!!!!!

A Whiff of Joy card:)

Hi everyone, i didn't think i would get a post in today...but yay i did! I don't like working 7 days in a row, it really cuts into my stamping time! lol I have the weekend off though so you can guess what i will be doing:) I have to make some swaps for a meeting i am going too...haven't used a SU stamp in a long time so it should be interesting! lol I also have a couple parties in Feb so i have to plan for them!!

Ok onto my card! ha ha I am the hostess for Feb in

one of my card kit swaps so i put this together. I had some retired SU dsp so i thought i would go for it...only problem is i have no acc. to match...so i used some rose red paper so i would have something. The buttons are SU, the white prima flower is CTMH, the bauble is from Stamping Bella. I coloured with copics and my spica pink glitter pen. I used Gina K 20lb pure luxery cardstock for my base (because i have a friend who swears by it! hee hee) and it worked great!! (thanks for the tip K!!)

Ok i am done for the night...might be a post tomorrow...not sure though!!

Oh the Huggabuggs!!!

I think i will be blowing my stamping diet to order some of these adorable stamps!! I got this image from my bella sistah Sarah and had to use them right away!! This is also for Mojo69, and for the back to the future swap on SCS. The Challenge is to use no DSP or no Cuttlebug backgrounds but to use stamps for backgrounds instead! This is such a fab idea i am using it for my SBS challenge #12!!

But last night i got to go out with some of my very bestest friends!! We had some drinks, and lots of laughs! I really needed a night out!

Strange colour combo?? SBS Challenge #11!!

Yes its strange...its creamy caramel, ballet blue and perfect plum...don't ask what i was thinking!! lol So your challenge...make a card using 3 strange colours together (strange for you anyway!! lol), also make it a birthday card:) (we can always use those!).

Didn't think i would get to post!!

But here i am:) I had a Dr's appt this morning, come to find out i have a chest infection which sucks!! But i have some meds now..finally after a month i should be good!! I also have a physio appt today!

Anyway when i got home i just had to work on this card!! It is a card kit again from my fave swapping group on SCS! The kits are fab that everyone sends!!

The layout is from Iheart2stamp.com, i have had it printed for a while, just didn't have time to use it:) I kinda used it on my lily card, but not really:) The DSP is from my minds eye. I used pumpkin pie, riding hood red and baja breeze cardstock. Coloured with copics and there ya go:) Not sure why i layered it so much, it didn't need it really!

Thanks Dee for an awsume kit!!! My card for tomorrow is done! Its strange!! Its a challenge for my SBS group!!

Pink Cat Studio Lily card:)

Pink Cat Studio is having a card contest!! You have to print out this adorable image and make a card with it!! So here is my card!!

I used this DSP i got from Stamping Bella, the big pink flower is from CTMH, the blue prima is from Sparkle, not sure where the ribbon is from. I used my nesties to cut her out and then used stickles on her wings, belt and flower oh and around the edge as well.

I made this card for the wish rak new years challenge! I had to case a fellow SCS memeber, here is the card i choose to case:) i am not sure who makes this image but i think its adorable! I used my dots embossing folder, my nesties and the only colours i used were baja breeze and creamy caramel:) Simple and cute:)
