Challenge #16 its a sketch!

This is the sketch over on the

Corrosive Challenge Blog . I love making sketches they are so much fun!

This card came together pretty quick. I have had this girl coloured forever! I think she is a sugar nellie but i am not sure!

My biggest problem with this card is i have NO dsp that is PURPLE!! really i am not lying!! ugh...so i decided to pull out my new sizzix folder with the pretty flowers on it.

I also had no cardstock that looked that colour brown so i used basic grey dsp. :) I coloured the girl with copics and cut her out with nesties.

I finished off the card with a prima flower and a bella dot!

Its a Happy Day...

For 2 reasons! One...Its Karen's Birthday! So be sure to hop over to her blog and send her some love! The next reason is today i am at a wedding in Toronto! My friend Krista is getting married to a great guy Shawn. Its a cute story...they dated in highschool, broke up..and after years apart they reconnected again! I stole this picture from facebook:) I met Krista through pen palling! We wrote for years and always met up at concerts and Canada's Wonderland! We now see each other a couple times a year! She rocks and i wish her and Shawn the best!







Now onto the card! I made this card a few weeks ago but couldn't post it because Krista is a follower of my blog! hee hee Now you are probably wondering what is up with the colours...well when i asked Krista what her colours were she told me hot pink with orange accents! So i had to make a card that matched!!

I bought hitchedafellabella for this card (a long time ago mind you). I coloured them with my copics and used my spica glitter pen on the suit cuffs and collar. I used Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the dress i think it would have been too blah without the glitter!

The paper is Basic black and PTI white. The dsp is My Minds Eye (orange) Bloom and Grow, and American Crafts (pink) Teen series.

The ribbon is Paper Source Ribbon (fushia), i love it so much that this is the first time i have used it since i bought it in Boston! I would be sad if i used it all up!

I cut them out with nesties and stamped always (small script SU) with memento black ink.
I wanted to use flowers somewhere on the card, but i think its perfect the way it is!

Oh this is a Sweet Sunday Sketch too! But i don't think i saved it on my computer. It was #20!

I sure do hope they like it!! :)

Its Scrappy Frogs Challenge Day!

Todays challenge over on the
Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog is Summer Time! I had this Tilda coloured and knew i wanted to use her!



I coloured Tilda with copics and then cut her out. For some reason i always have her sitting on a ribbon...i tried having her sit on a block but i didn't like it!



I used 2 pieces of ribbon from my stash and tied them up.



I used my sizzlet swirl die for the corners with some bella dew drops in the middle.



I used 2 big prima flowers with a bella dot in the middle.



The paper is pink flamingo from SU and Rusty Pickly pirate princess with chocolate chip mat.


I finished the card off with a saying from the Full of Life SU set.

Thursdays are the day....

for Lindsay's Stamps! This week i decided to use this Rabbit that i have had coloured forever! He is an asian rabbit so i decided to pull out some of my asian paper! Its the same pad of paper i always use by DCWV.

I used the Mojo Monday sketch this week. My base is Basic Gray.

I coloured my rabbit with copics and cut him out with nesties.

I tied a bow for the top from some ribbon i had in my scraps, wire ribbon is great for tieing bows!

I finished it off with some dew drops on the bottom! Easy as can be!

Here is a pic of Abygail sleeping with her puppy:) She sleeps while i make cards, then we go play, eat and then she sleeps again! She gets tired running (probably because her legs are so short! lol)

My first Gorjuss girl...

Last week i got my first ever Gorjuss Girls stamps! I bought them all because they are all soooooooo darling!!!! They are a lot of fun to colour too!!

So i started by colouring with my copics. I wanted a goth girl look so i went with purple and black:) I then cut her out with Nesties:)

My base is PTI white with basic black. The DSP is CTMH, i can't remember the name of it though.




I used my EK Sucess punch for the border on the bottom. I used a piece of SU velvet ribbon as well.

I finished off the card with 3 glitter primas with some bling in the middle!

Well i hope you like her as much as i do! I have a feeling you will be seeing lots of Gorjuss girls to come!!

A Magnolia sketch card...

Hi everyone:) I love this Tilda and i MUST have her!! So i feel an order coming on! I got this image through and image chain on Magnolia-licous. Its called Tilda with Puppy:)

I started with the Magnolia June DT sketch for Magnolia-licous. This is also for the Just Magnolia blog to make a card with animals or insects.

I started by colouring Tilda with copics and cutting her out with paper snips. Then i used my Nesties to cut out the swing, this is a pretty big stamp so some of the tree got cut off. I sponged the background with Bashful Blue.

The pink paper is Basic Grey and the blue with butterflies is CTMH (which i cut out with nesties). The base is PTI white with Chocolate Chip on top.

I finished off the card with ribbon from my stash and 3 Latte buttons from SU tied with some hemp twine.

Its a Monday magnolia:)

This is my first time playing on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenges! It was a tough sketch for me...i never put paper sideways like that!! LOL But i guess that is what sketch challenges are for!

I started by colouring Tilda and the scene with my copics. For the sky look i used a sponge dauber and pastels, then went over it lightly with a blender pen. I cut them both out with my paper snips (Karen and Dana should be proud!)

My base is PTI white with a layer of chocolate chip. The dsp is Basic Grey.

I finished it off with some prima flowers and bella dots!

It really was a simple card in the end! :) I love these 2 colours together though!!

Its a Fella Father's Day Card:)

Today is another Challenge day over on the Corrosive Challenge Blog!

The challenge today is all about Dad:) Fathers day is only a few weeks away so stop procrastinating and lets get our Father's Day cards done!

I cheated and made the same card twice, once for my dad and once for my BF's dad. :) They will never know ;)

I started with Taylor's Sketch this week because is clean and simple, perfect for a man card! I also used Taylor's March Key Ingredients Kit! These are so great to go too when you are in a rush!

I decided to pull out Grillafella because he hasn't seen ink yet! Both dads like the grill so this is a perfect stamp!

I coloured the Fella with copics and cut it out with my nesties. For the saying...well i didn't have any Fathers Day stamps so i just wrote the saying in myself!! Not too bad i guess.

I finished the card off with some bling, because you know every guy needs bling ;) I just felt like it needed something else on it!

So there you have it, my Fathers Day cards are done! woo hoo!! Now go play with your man stamps!! :)

Cupcake Days...

I made this card for SOA challenge to use 3 buttons or more! Guess what?? I won the challenge! I get some Papertrey Ink Buttons!! woo hoo!!

This was a card kit i had, and i have realized that i am not fond of working with too much purple:(

I started out with TECC68. I coloured the image (not sure what company its from) with copics and a purple spica glitter pen.

Not sure which company the papers are from either. The yellow is So Saffron. I finished it off with my 3 buttons and the ribbon on the bottom.

Not my fave card, but it won me a prize so i should complain! lol
